Richard Brown was born and bred in Harrow, North
London. Harrow played an enormous part in his life as he still lives and works
there to this day. There he studied Art & Design at little known Weald College
then moving on to study at the well-respected University of Westminster also
once remembered as the famous Harrow College of Art.
Richard originally began in his younger days working with traditional media
but whilst working with computers in advertising he developed his own style
of 'Unique Digital Illustration', which is now truly 'Illustration for the 21st
Century'. Influences include artists Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, David Hockney
and graphic designers David Carson and Neville Brody.
Richard began working as a freelancer in Advertising whilst studying at University,
which is how he started to experiment with the digital medium. Years ago computers
were expensive to work with but it was equipment, which all-major advertising
agencies had which enabled Richard to experiment.
